For weeks the house was filled with talk of the ball.

The sisters tried their best to improve their English.

At school,

the sisters spoke English with their teachers and classmates.

At home,

they read English books and watched English cartoons.

What about Cinderella?

Cinderella could not go to school because she needed to help her stepsisters to buy the finest costumes in the Penguin town.

But she did a lot of readings at mid-night after she had finished all the chores.

Finally the night of the ball arrived.

Although Cinderella helped her sisters to dress up,

they left without saying thank you or goodbye.

Cinderella burst into tears. She felt very sad and lonely.
